Witness To Murder (1954): 9560 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, 90212 With all the constant change going on in this town, sometimes it's hard to remember what used to be where. You'll find one of the most tangible reminders of change in Los Angeles in old movies and TV shows filmed here—heck, there's even an app for that, called Scenepast, and they've given us 10 photo comparisons showing scenes from iconic movies and TV shows that used the city as a backdrop (from the '50s to the '90s) and what those filming spots look like now.

Pretty In Pink (1985): Third Street & Broadway, Santa Monica, CA 90401



Kojak (1973): 436 S. Main St., Los Angeles, CA




Down 3 Dark Streets (1954): 417 S. Hill, Los Angeles, CA, 90015

This corner might look similar in both shots, but the now-absent Subway sign serves as a reminder that this building was once the Subway Terminal Building; it's now apartments.




Crime Of Passion (1957): 220 E. First St., Los Angeles, CA 90012

Apparently, there was a lot of Chop Suey in Little Tokyo at the time. The neon sign in this photo is not the one on the Far East building down the block.
