Description:

1911 Easter Greeting Postcard Card - German-Made Gilt-Trimmed Embossed Chromo-lithograph - Easter Lilies - Easter Cross - Rural Church Tower Scene - Rob. Kathmann & Co., Liepzig, Saxony, Publisher - Elizabeth, NJ Postmark - Brooklyn NYC Address

“Postcard” is printed in 7 languages on the back, as is “Printed in Saxony, 05 35”. The "Spread-wings" logo with initials "RK & Co., L" was used by Robert Kathmann & Co., Leipzig, on it's postcards for the US market. Back includes an April 11, 1911, Elizabeth, NJ postmark, and a Brooklyn NY address. Message is in Polish.

PHOTO NOTE:   Scanning frequently distorts the clarity of the image. When viewed in person, the card image has a shiny finish and greater clarity, than the muted "grainy" look of the scan.  Minute defects are also exaggerated by the scans, and often barely noticeable when viewed in person.

CONDITION:   Standard-sized postcard in excellent condition for its age. In person, the card has a shiny finish with bright gilt embossed  trim, exceptional vivid colors and clear, sharp images.  Very slight light surface craquelure is visible only in reflective light.  The red border has color loss along the edges, which is somewhat greater on the corners. There are no folds or tears.  The postmark and message on the back are clearly legible. ALL FLAWS ARE OBVIOUS IN THE PHOTOS.
