c1970 Hollywood California Hotel Casa Blanca Resort Vintage Glossy Chrome Photo Postcard - Wiltshire Country Club, North Rossmore Avenue, Los Angeles
Vintage c1970 glossy color chrome photo postcard view of poolside at the luxurious Hollywood, California resort Hotel Casa Blanca - “Resort Living in Mid-City” - located at 445 North Rossmore Avenue in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The prestigious Wiltshire Country Club golf course is visible in the immediate background. In the distance appears to be the downtown Los Angeles skyline. A similar view appears on an earlier linen postcard for its predecessor at the same location, the Country Club Hotel.
Number 70428 published by Mellinger Studios of Altadena, California. This is a “Genuine Natural Color” postcard made by the Thomas Dexter Press (1934-1980) of West Nyack, NY. The Company merged with MWM Color Press in 1980 to become MWM Dexter, and they moved to Aurora, MO.
PHOTO NOTE: Scanning frequently distorts the clarity of the image. When viewed in person, the card image usually shows greater clarity and intensity of colors, compared to the more muted "grainy" look of the scanned image. Minute defects are also exaggerated by the scans, and often barely noticeable when viewed in person.
CONDITION: PLEASE EXAMINE THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY. Unused but vintage glossy chrome photo postcard - in good condition, but not perfect. The front shows a light surface crease, a stain line, and a dark spot in the upper right sky background, surface scratches in the lower left quadrant, and crushed and damaged corners and edges. The back shows some soiled spots and generalized age discoloration. ALL FLAWS ARE OBVIOUS IN THE PHOTOS
