Up for sale is this color postcard of Fort Stanwix, Rome New York. The fort was the first fort to fly the Stars and Stripes in the face of the British on August 3, 1777. This postcard is cancelled Rome NY May 22, 1976 and posted with a 10 cent stamp. However, the entire address side is untouched. Interesting historical postcard.
